This is a full combat webbing set worn by the German Army soldier in WW2 who would be armed with the German K98 rifle.
This webbing set allows the German Army soldier to carry everything that he needs from the bayonet and ammunition for his K98 rifle to his entrenching tool to dig a trench to the bread bag to carry his rations to his zeltbahn to make a shelter.
The German Infantry webbing set is built around the German leather equipment belt where the K98 ammunition pouches, bread bag, entrenching tool, bayonet and water bottle are fitted on the belt. The Y straps clip onto the K98 ammo pouches at the front and over the belt at the back. The pack assembly on the back is a rigid A frame which clips onto the Y straps, a small cotton pack fastens onto the bottom of the A frame and then using the straps which are connected on the A frame you can carry the zeltbahn and mess tins.
No bayonet is included in this set and must be purchased separately. See related items.
