DAK German WW2 1939 Assault Combat A Frame in Tan Canvas Webbing

Tropical A frame for the assault pack this was issued for the deserts of North Africa and warm climates of the Mediterranean. The tropical A frame is made from tan/khaki cotton webbing with grey painted metal work and features the 4 hooks in the corners so it can be attached to the German Y straps. The German assault pack A frame was part of the Sturmgepack (Assault pack) which was standard issue to all German infantrymen in WW2.

The A frame allowed the German solider to carry his mess tins, zeltbahn and greatcoat attached to the frame and then the beutel (cotton bag) was also fixed onto the A frame so smaller essentials could be carried.

• Cotton webbing in a light tan/khaki colour.
• 4 grey metal hooks in each corner so it can be attached to the Y straps.
• 3 grey metal rectangle hoops (sides and top) to attach straps so bulky items like a great coat can be carried.
• 2 vertical straps with metal buckles on the lower half to carry the zeltbahn.
• 1 horizontal strap with metal buckle on the top half to carry the mess tins.
