The M43 trousers were an improvement on the M40 model after 3 years of fighting, the main changers were tapered legs making them more comfortable reinforced seat for extra wear and belt loops so a belt instead of braces could be worn. The M43 trouser was issued to Army , Waffen SS and Luftwaffe ground troops
