The Battle of the Falaise pocket was the final battle in Normandy and took place in August 1944 south of Caen. The German 7th Army and the 5th Panzer Army were nearly encircled by the Canadian Army. The 4th Canadian and 1st polish armoured Divisions attached and held the high ground around Falaise, but they suffered a high casualty rate, the poles running out of ammo after the 12th Panzer division attached them.

This sign is impressive and will look good on your display or in your den. Its made of 18 Gauge steel like they would have been in the 1940's, With black lettering on a white background. The sign has then to add age and authenticity to it has been aged, scratched, rusted, chipped and bullet holes to finish it off
