These Yellow MInen metal markers were used by the German Army, Waffen SS and luftwaffe soldiers during WW2 to mark there own mine fields. Once the German Forces had finished the Blitzkreig in 1939-1940 they layed down 1000's of mine field to defend againt counter attacks. There Germans also used mine field in Normandy to defend against the allied landing on the beaches in Operation Overlord June 1944
