K98 Natural Brown leather bayonet frog for dismounted troops
This model of bayonet frog was issued to dismounted troops from 1935 to 1939 but its not uncommon to still them being issued in 1942 and worn through out the war
After 1939 the Heer/ Army issued an order that bayonet frogs with retaining straps were to be issued and old frogs modified at unit level.
The bayonet frog was issued in brown originally for the soldier to blacken himself until latter on when black leather was issued
