This SS panzer cap differs from our other black M43 caps by having a single plastic button on the front instead of the usual 2 metal pebble buttons. The insignia is the two piece skull and eagle Bevo type which are sewn onto the front.
This style of cap was most famously worn by Micheal Wittman of the 1st SS Panzer Division in the tank battle at Villers-Bocage in Normandy.
