US Mounted M1910 Water bottle Set Original J.Q.M.D. 1935
Original Mounted M1910 canteen carrier and water bottle.
This is the mounted or cavalry version of the canteen set. The difference between a standard and this one is the hanging method. Instead of a belt hanger on the back the mounted one has canvas loops on the base and sides which hold a leather strap. The leather strap has a buckle on the top. A metal clip is attached to the leather strap so the canteen set could hang from a saddle.
The carrier is marked on the back J.Q.M.D. 1935.
The carrier has some fading and a couple of small stains on the back.
The leather strap is solid but the spring clip on the buckle is broken and missing.
The canteen is made by L.F & C 1918.
No mug included.

The carrier has a couple of stains and there are two holes where the material has worn away on the sides of the flaps.
The leather strap shows wear and has some surface cracks but is still flexible. The metal clip is not included.
The canteen and mug are made by L.F & C 1918.
