Each pack has a length of 24 inch (60cm) coloured cord in the colours of the US Armoured Divisions, this is the same type of braiding that is sewn onto the enlisted garrison cap of the Armoured units. but it is a rounded cord (the cord on the caps has a flat piece running along the length so that it can be sewn onto the cap). This braid was used to make neck cords to hang your dog tags from and sometimes to edge the shoulder patch on dress uniforms. It could also be used in a display case of Armoured items or edging to a model vehicle display or plaque.
