Original WW2 leather holster for the M1911 and M1911A1 Colt 45 pistol.
This is a genuine WW2 M1916 Leather Belt Holster made by Graton & Knight in 1943.
Good used condition the back is stamped "US Graton & Knight Co. 1943" with a large US in an oval on the front flap.
The colour is very dark as it has been polished with black dye/polish at some stage in its history. The small block inside at the bottom of the holster has been removed so the tip of the holster is soft.
Nice original 1940's holster with pliable soft leather. Graton & Knight made about 80,000 holster in 1943 for the US Army.
