US WW2 M1937 BAR Belt Original Belt 2
US WW2 M1937 BAR belt original dated 1942.
Original good condition BAR belt, this is the standard WW2 design with 6 pockets.
Maker marked on the back of the pouch but it is not clear enough to read.,
Used condition colour has faded from actual use. Small rip/tear in the adjustable belt by the eyelet. There are several small holes with rust stains above two of the pouches. This looks like something was fixed on here but has since been removed.
The M1937 B.A.R. belt is the standard ammunition belt for the Browning Automatic Rifle (BAR) used in World War Two by all the American forces including the Infantry and Airborne.
Officially called the "Belt, Magazine, B.A.R., M1937".
The belt has 6 pockets which each hold 2 BAR magazines giving a total carrying capacity of 12 magazines or 10 magazines if you use one of the pockets to carry the special cleaning kit.
Colour: Khaki/tan which was officially called OD#3.
