M1937 US BAR Magazine Belt in OD 7 Green by Kay Canvas

US WW2 M1937 BAR belt in late war green by Kay Canvas, officially called the "Belt, Magazine, B.A.R., M1937".

The M1937 B.A.R. belt is the standard ammunition belt for the Browning Automatic Rifle (BAR) used in World War Two by all the American forces including the Infantry and Airborne.

The belt has 6 pockets which each hold 2 BAR magazines giving a total carrying capacity of 12 magazines or 10 magazines if you use one of the pockets to carry the special cleaning kit.

There is a row of eyelets across the top and bottom to connect suspenders and 1st aid pouches etc.

The belt is adjustable so the overall length is adjustable from 30" to 60" (76 to 152cm).

Colour: Green which was officially called OD#7.

Magazines not included.

Premium quality webbing belt, these are made by Kay Canvas using the best fabrics and the canvas is a bit heavier and sturdier than other makes. The metal is brass (blackened) not steel and the cotton canvas webbing has the correct weight and weave of the originals for a high quality pouch. These are as good as originals, they just do not have that old musty smell to them

The green colour BAR belt is the late World War 2 colour sometimes called the M44 or M1944 BAR belt, it was issued in WW2 to be used to soldiers armed with the B.A.R.

In Vietnam the green BAR belts where often used by SOG and LRRP teams as they could carry more M16 magazines than the standard ammunition pouches.

Made in the correct late WW2 colour of OD#7 which is a dark green colour.
