US Airborne demolition bag WW2 Para demo bag by Kay Canvas

American WW2 paratroopers demolition bag, this special bag was issued the US airborne to carry demolitions and TNT blocks. The standard Infantry demo bag or satchel charge bag was a lightweight cotton bag but the airborne needed a heavier bag that would last when jumping.

The airborne demo bag by Kay Canvas features:

• Strong and heavy duty canvas shoulder strap. We have made the shoulder strap longer so it fits over the body easier total length of strap is 169cm.
• Adjustable metal buckle fixed to the bag for the shoulder strap to fit into.
• Flap closure is secured by 2 straps.
• The back has 2 lightweight sewn on straps to tie the bag onto your leg or other gear to stop it moving around.
• Bag has a single main compartment with a front pocket.
• 2 side pockets (one on each side) which are closed by a press stud.
• Made in OD#7 green colour webbing.
• The bag was often used with a snap hook attached to the shoulder strap, the snap hook is not included but is available to purchase separately, see related products below.

Note: The bag is supplied empty, blocks not included.

Premium quality webbing pouch, these are made by Kay Canvas using the best fabrics. The metal is brass not steel and the cotton canvas webbing has the correct weight and weave of the originals for a high quality pouch. These are as good as originals, they just do not have that old musty smell to them.
