M1923 Garand Belt for Garand rifle clips Light Green
The M1923 10 pocket rifle ammunition belt was officially called the "Belt, Cartridge, Cal .30, M-1923, Dismounted" and was issued to all soldiers that where issued with M1 Garand rifle.
This is a light green colour closer to the OD#3 than the dark green colour of the OD#7
This is the same belt as the war time belts, the only difference with this belt is that this one does not have the short strap inside of each pocket to help pull out the bullets with stripper clips. The short internal straps where no longer needed when the pockets where only used for the 8 round Garand clips. Extrenally there is no difference as the pocketr flaps cover over where the short strap would be. This belt is the post war version of the belt that was worn in Korea
Each pocket on the M1923 Garand belt holds 8 rounds in a clip, so the cartridge belt will hold 10 x 8 rounds in clips.
Adjustable in size from 32" to 55" (80cm to 140cm).
