ATS BD BattleDress Slacks

When the ATS were tasked with operating Anti Aircraft Batteries in 1941 it was found that the ATS Service Dress was not suitable for this job and so originally Mens BD uniform was issued. The ATS were soon issued by the end of 1941 with there own special clothing including Brown Ankle boots, leather Gaiters, BD Slacks and BD jacket, and over the period of the war they were modified and simplified for easier production.

These ATS Slacks are the mid war issue with 3 buttons on a one side, adjustable elasticated waist band and tabs on the lower legs with buttons to pull in the trousers legs when gaiters not been used.
