Unterscharfuhrer LAH SS Shoulder Boards With Subdued Tresse By RUM
Waffen SS LAH shoulder boards with Unterscharfuhrer subdued rank tresse.

The Unterscharfuhrer rank tresse/lace is the later war version which is subdued and not the early shinny tresse/lace.
The SS used black wool shoulder boards throughout the war the only thing that really changed was the rank tresse that was sewn onto the edges of shoulder boards. The tresse was originally silver but during the war (sometime in 1940) the tresse was changed to a grey colour with a slight green shade. After 1940 both silver and the subdued tresse was worn on the shoulder boards.
The LAH (usually abbreviated to 1st SS Pz.Div LSSAH) was Adolf Hitler’s personal bodyguard and one of the most famous combat units in WW2. The LAH fought in almost every major campaign in WW2
