US M1938 Dispatch case Map Case and Insert Original by JQMD
Original M1938 Dispatch case, map case by J.Q.M.D.
This genuine WW2 map case is in fantastic condition this is basically unissued.
The front has "U.S." stamped on it which has been stamped upside down and the back is stamped "J.Q.M.D. 1943".
On the lower back there is ink rectangle, this is where the extra D ring would be stitched for the mounted version of the map case, so it looks like it was marked out to be made as a mounted version at the factory, but the extra D ring was never sewn on.
It is complete with the clear insert with grids squares printed on it and the correct shoulder strap with shoulder pad.
