US M43 Entrenching tool. Folding M43 E tool 1945 dated
Genuine America military issue WW2 M43 folding entrenching tool.
Original war time issue, these are dated 1945 and where introduced as part of the 1943 overhaul of the American clothing and equipment.
These have been in storage for many years so have stayed in pretty good condition. Some do have a little rust on them and some have been re painted so you may want to clean them up a little.
The 1943 model entrenching tool was issued to replace the solid one piece M1928 Entrenching tool. This improved entrenching design has a folding head which locks into place with needed and folds 180 degrees back on itself to make it easier to carry on the belt.
Price is for one WW2 US manufactured and US issued M43 E tool and dated 1945.
