US Officers Paratroopers Cap Badge Wire Bullion
American WW2 Airborne garrison cap badge in wire bullion.
Officers in the US Airborne generally wore the standard paratrooper badge which is the white parachute on a blue background on their OD 51 officers garrison cap, but some Officers had a wire bullion version made and had that sewn onto a garrison cap.
A cap with a wire bullion badge may have been kept for special occasions rather than day to day wear.
This badge is hand made like they would have been in the 1940's. The back ground is the standard pale blue and the parachute and surround is made from silver coloured wire bullion. A blue edge has been left on the badge to make sewing the badge on easier but if you want you can easily trim the edge back to the wire bullion edge with a pair of scissors before sewing the badge onto your garrison cap.
