US Ribbon Bronze Service Star
American bronze Service star for ribbons.
These where originally worn on the ribbon but during WW2 they where also fixed to the US para wings.
The bronze star was worn on the European / Africa / Middle East campaign medal ribbon.
Each star denotes a second and subsequent participation in a campaign or major operation.
To fix the bronze stars to a ribbon you simply push the bars on the back of the star through the ribbon and bend back the bars.
