US WW2 Belgium lanyard. Belgium fourragere
WW2 Belgium Fourragere lanyard awarded to American units who fought with distinguished service in the liberation of Belgium in World War Two.
The Belgium lanyard was worn by all US troops that had participated in the liberation of Belgium and had been awarded (mentioned in Army despatches) twice.
In WWII it was worn on the US Army four pocket A Class tunic and the Ike jacket.
WW2 lanyards are worn over the left shoulder of the dress uniform, there seems to be no official way of wearing more than one lanyard on WW2 uniforms, but it seems that two could be worn on the left and if you wear awarded 3 the third one was worn on the right shoulder.
