US WW2 GP M1 Ammunition Bag Tan by Kay Canvas
US M1 Ammo bag, this was a general purpose bag to carry an assortment of ammunition including rifle clips, carbine magazines, boxed ammo for machine guns, rifle grenades and hand grenades.
The M1 ammunition bag or GP bag could hold 11 rifle grenades or 29 hand grenades (excluding the fibre container tubes).
It was carried in WW2 by all troops including Infantry and Paratroopers to carry extra ammo and grenades.
The bag has several fixed straps so it can be strapped onto the sides of vehicles so it is ideal to hang off the sides of a jeep etc.
A carrying strap (musette strap) can be clipped on to so it can be used as a shoulder bag (musette strap not included).

Premium quality webbing pouch, these are made by Kay Canvas using the best fabrics. The metal is brass not steel and the cotton canvas webbing has the correct weight and weave of the originals for a high quality pouch. These are as good as originals, they just do not have that old musty smell to them.
The cotton canvas is a bit heavier and sturdier than the standard replicas so it holds is shape better and is stronger.

The bag feratures:
- Approximately 31cm high. 20cm wide and 12cm deep.
- Premuim cotton canvas.
- Metalwork is black coated brass for extra strength.
- Front is closed by a single 2.5cm wide strap.
- Two straps on the sides have clips on the end so you can fasten the bag onto the sides of vehicles etc or you can attach a musette bag strap to make it into a shoulder bag.
- 4 D rings (2 on each side) so you can attach the bag onto vehicles etc.
- Reinforced webbing around 3 sides of the bag, this webbing is also the straps to attach a shoulde rstrap to.
- Stamped on the inside of the flap "Kay Canvas 1942".
