This is the type of base ball cap worn by the USN crew of the USS Missouri battleship.
The Missouri battleship was built in WW2 and the Japanese officially signed their surrender on board the Missouri.
It saw action in the Korean war and fired the first Tomahawk missiles on the 17th January 1991 at the start of the Gulf war. It is now based in Pearl Harbor as a memorial and museum.
The cap has a sewn on badge on the front with the out line of the USS Missouri with the words "USS Missouri BB-63" on it.
