British Army Victorian Black leather Leggings

These Leggings were worn by British Army Soldiers during the Victorian Period from the 1850's to the late 1900 when Khaki drill and putties replaced Red Coats and leggings.

This is the model that would have been worn during the Anglo Zulu War 1879 by all soldiers including the 24th foot at Rorke's Drift and Islandlawana.

These quality made leggings are 10" high  made from a smooth stiff leather with reinforced sections behind the lace holes and lower section around the boot. Made with 4metal eyelets which is the  correct amount and has the Dutch lacing fastening which was used also used tents of the time to fasten them up. A  Brass buckle and strap make sure the gaiter does not come open.

Measure your Calf 8" up from your ankle bone and don't forget to include your trousers thickness
