Waffen SS 1944 Pea Dot Camouflage Pattern Trousers by RUM
German WW2 Dot 44 camouflage uniform in the "Erbsenmuster" camouflage pattern which is more commonly called "Pea Pattern" or "Pea Dot" camouflage.
The SS dot camouflage keilhose (trousers) are the second pattern which is often called the 1944 model if differs from the first model by being made from HBT fabric which has a more course feel to it then the previous trousers. The Dot 44 trousers match the Dot 44 jacket that we also have for sale.
Made from top quality HBT (Herring Bone Twill) fabric in the correct coarse cloth which is a mix of lined/rayon combined with the excellent Dot camouflage print make for a truly exceptional uniform.
The style/design of the trousers is very similar to the design of the wool M1943 field trousers.
The two piece uniform was introduced for work wear and combat wear, the actual first production date of the pea dot suit is not known but it is generally accepted that they must have been in production in 1943 to have enough uniforms to be issued by March 1944.
