WW1 1905 Service Dress SD Cap
British Army WW1 SD (Service Dress) cap worn by most Tommies at the outbreak of the great War in France and Flanders 1914. Soon after the Soldiers started digging trenches it was found to be impracticable due to its stiff peak and wired top. So a soft trench cap was issued in early 1915 that could be stuffed in the pocket when not in use.
