French WW1 Horizon blue (Bleu Horizon in French) M1915 Greatcoat,

• Double breasted
• 2 rows of 6 buttons
• Brass buttons painted blue
• Button back skirt
• 1/2 lined inside with white cotton
• 2 button inside pockets
• Large fall collars
• 2 outside cartridge pockets
• Half belt at rear
• Rifle sling shoulder epaulets
• UK sized  not European 

Horizon blue it is said was introduced as the red dye used to make the previous uniform was supplied from Germany so they mixed the two remaining colours blue and white which by chance was light blue and became known as bleu Horizon.
