WW1 M1907 Feldgrau Imperial Germany Wool Trousers by RUM

German WW1 Imperial model M1907 wool field trouser in feldgrau by RUM.

In 1907 the German was issued long wool trouser called "Tuchhosen" to go with the 1907 tunic, these trousers where made in a matching colour to the tunic which was Feldgrau (grey/green). Due to supply issues of dyeing the wool and not be able to match the colour of the tunics correctly the German army changed the colour of trousers to grey colour (steingrau) in September 1915. By 1917 the German army was being issued feldgrau coloured trousers again this time with and without the red stripe.

1907 trousers features:

  • Red stripe down the outside of each leg.
  • Feldgrau colour (green shade).
  • Wool straps sewn in at the side seams, with a buckle fastener at the back to adjust the waist size.
  • Two front hand pockets closed with a single button.
  • Watch pocket.
  • Button closed fly, 4 covered plastic button and a single exposed aluminium button at the top.
  • 8 aluminium buttons around the waist band for the attachment of braces (braces not included).
  • High waist at the back.
  • Approximately 31" inside leg.
  • Trousers are worn tucked into the marching boots.
