Classic North Africa sandal design that were called Chaplis Sandals, these were very popular in the middle east, which were Hand made in all the bazaars from Bombay to Cairo.
The Chaplis sandal can been seen worn by LRDG and SAS on operations and also by Royal Naval both Officers and Seamen.
These leather Sandals are hand made with a stitched sole that originally were made from old car tyres but have now been made of new rubber made to look like a tyre pattern. an adjustable buckle at the rear to find a good fit.
