This colour of paint was called by the Germans during WW2 Olivegrun ( olive green)and was one of the most common colours used at the end of WW2. In 1944 olivegrun was part of a 3 colour camouflage paint scheme (Dunkelgelb nach muster and Rotbraun being the other 2 colours) and continued to be used as a single base colour from December 1944 with vehicles and equipment from the factories.
