WW2 Shelter half for a pup tent. 1945 green original grade 1
One original WW2 American shelter half in OD 7.
These where issued one to every solider, you need two to make a pup tent.
During WW2 when the US Army was changing their webbing and clothing over to the darker green (OD 7), they also changed the colour of the shelter half from the pre war khaki tan (OD 3) to the OD 7 colour. The pattern stayed the same as the last pattern tan ones. So these have extended flaps on both ends and they have buttons to join two together. Near the end of the war the metal buttons where changed to press studs.
Thia ia dated 1945 and was made by Mid American Manufacturing Co.
Grade 1 condition, no rips or tears.
