WW2 USMC M1941 Haversack by Combat Serviceable

The M1941 Haversack was the standard field pack issued to the US Marines in WW2.

The first model had "D" loops at the end of the shoulder straps and it could only be worn fixed onto the webbing belt or cartridge belt. This is the improved version introduced fairly early during the war as the first model with the D rings on was deemed as too impractical. 

This model has the special buckle on the shoulder straps called an "M" buckle so it can worn as a seperate back pack, this was so it could be ditched when they landed on the beach without having to remove the rest of the webbing.

USMC M41 haversack features:

• Shoulder straps with "M" buckles
• Shoulder straps are adjustable in length.
• Short strap on the back to attach to the belt, these where generally cut off.
• 2 blanket straps on the sides and one strap on the top to attach shelter half etc.
• Set of eyelets on the front for E tool.
• Set of eyelets on the side for bayonet.
• Two metal D loops on the bottom to attach the lower knapsack (knapsack not included).
• Main flap is secured by two straps.
• Strap on the front to secure the handle of the E tool.
