The Zeltbahn 31 also known as the Heeres Splitter Muster 31 was first issued in 1931. The Zeltbahn 31 was an advanced piece of kit as it could be used as a rain cape/ poncho and for making any number of different tents/ shelters.
This R.U.M Zeltbahn is one of the best available as its made from a good quality water repellent fabric with a clear crisp splinter print and alloy buttons like it would have been in WW2.

- Water repellent cotton fabric called "Makostoff" in WW2
- Heavier weight and tighter weave fabric
- 2 shades of splinter for better camouflage
- Dark shade printed on outer
- Light shade printed on inner
- Size 240 x 200 x 200 cms
- 30 Alloy dish buttons per side (to connect Zeltbahns together)
- Head hole cut in centre with button closure
- 12mm eyelets for peg lanyard
- 20mm eyelet for centre pole
Soldier could connect four Zeltbahns to form a 2 man tent called a Viererzelt or 8 Zeltbahns together to a so called house tent called a Hauszelt
