Zeltbahn tent rope 92 (Zeltleine 92)
The Zeltbahn rope is called a Zelteine 92 and was originally introduced in 1892.
The correct length of the rope is 2 meters with 4 cm loops either end, it was designed to fit over the top pole section and stretch down and be pegged out, this allows you to peg out a porch with extra poles, or create a two zeltbahn shelter.
You may see 1 meter length ropes for sale but these are to short and are post war east German army issue.

German soldiers were issued as part of their zeltbahn kit , 1 x Zeltbahn shelter, 1x Zeltbahn tent rope, 1x pole section and 2 x pegs so a section of soldiers could make a various sizes of tent using there zeltbahns.
